Bamboo fibre

Bamboo

Bamboo fibre is a more environmentally friendly alternative than most other textiles on the market because bamboo can be planted without pesticides and produced entirely without harmful chemical substances. It has unique properties like natural softness, naturally antibacterial and hypoallergenic. It reflects 50% more ultraviolet radiation than other materials and therefore provides more protection to the skin.

Key Properties

Eco-Friendly : Derived from a renewable resource, bamboo is biodegradable and reduces environmental impact. Often produced with minimal chemical treatments compared to synthetic materials.

Antimicrobial : Naturally resistant to bacteria and fungi, reducing odor and the risk of skin irritation.

Moisture-Wicking : Absorbs moisture efficiently, keeping hands dry during extended use.

Breathability : Allows air circulation, preventing overheating in warm environments.

Softness : Feels silky and smooth against the skin, ideal for people with sensitive skin.

Temperature Regulation : Keeps hands cool in summer and warm in winter.

Limitations

Durability : Less robust than synthetic fibers. To achieve higher durability it is often combined with other materials.

Moisture Retention : Although moisture-wicking, it can retain water when fully saturated, requiring drying.

Applications

Glove Linings : Provides comfort in industrial, sports, or casual gloves.

Light-Duty Gloves : Ideal for tasks requiring comfort and flexibility, such as gardening or light assembly.

Sensitive Skin : Used in gloves for individuals prone to irritation or allergies.
